Friday 27th February

Hi class; how are you? I hope you're fine despite you have to study the whole weekend. Now it's time to make an effort since the second term is coming to its end soon. I wish you lots of luck.

This week we have finished this topic about sports and Olympic Games. We saw a short video  based on "A day in the life of a sportperson" It was really interesting and we knew a lot of things related to his training and his daily routine in general. I hope you  enjoyed.

Here you have another one. I hope you have some time to have a look.

We also completed some listening activities in order to revise voc we have been working with these weeks. You can do better so... pull your socks up!!

In the second part we continued with our project. We  made some crafts related to the idea of collecting food. It was very good and you did right.

I'm really tired of being here all the time reminding you to do your homework. For next week you have to write the biography of the sportperson you like in this way:

  • Paragraph 1: Early life
  • Paragraph 2: Career
  • Paragraph 3: Current life
Include voc we learned in class, please. Do it clean and well presented, ok?

To finish here you have your points:

  1. Player 1: 20
  2. Player 2: 38
  3. Player 3: 39
  4. Player 4: 38
  5. Player 5: 37
  6. Player 6: 20
That's all.

Be good, have fun, see you in class!

Friday 20th February

Hi class! How's it going? I hope you're fine enjoying this time of relax... I guess you haven't done your homework yet... anyway I hope you bring with you next class. I wonder why sometimes you show no interest in class. I hope it changes because then you ask for a game and songs and videos... and it's not fair, don't you think?

Last class we went on with the lesson we started a couple of weeks ago. It's about sports; this week we practised listening and speaking activities related to well-known (or popular) sports as

  • soccer
  • volleyball
  • cycling
  • snowboarding
  • judo
At the same time we revised how often people practise sports

  • every day
  • once a week
  • twice a week
  • once a week
  • once a month
  • never
After that we revised the use of CAN FOR ABILITY. Remember that this verb is never followed by a TO INFINITIVE. NEVER!! And the 3rd person singular does not go with the final -s. So be careful and never write or say He cans   because it is not correct.

For homework don't forget to complete the worksheet I gave you. It's about sports and it's very easy. Please, do it this time, ok?

Now to finish here you have your points:

  1. Player 1: 20
  2. Player 2: 20
  3. Player 3: 21
  4. Player 4: 20
  5. Player 5: 20
  6. Player 6: 20
Be good, have fun, see you in class!

Friday 13th February

Hello class! How are you? Last day we were very few in the classroom... only two students attended to class, and I asked you to tell me if that was the case. Please, next time, write a note saying you are not coming, ok?

Anyway, the class  was funny. We went to the first topic this week: CARNIVAL .We knew about the origin and typical customs and read about Mardi Gras, Carnival in New Orleans; finally you told me about your plans for carnival this weekend. I hope you have lots of fun.

The second part of the class we mixed up with other students as we did for Halloween; this time we took advantage of next Saturday celebration: VALENTINE'S Day. You were doing activities and crafts and you taught the kids lots of things as new voc and symbols and traditions. It was great. I hope you enjoyed.

And please: don't forget to bring your homework. Complete the worksheet about Carnival I gave you in class, ok? To do it right it's important to read the text carefully, otherwise you won't be able to answer properly. The second part is just a quiz so you only have to tick the option you think is correct, ok? Please, I trust you.

Here you have your points:

  1. Player 1: /
  2. Player 2: /
  3. Player 3: /
  4. Player 4: 10
  5. Player 5: 10

Be good, have fun, see you in class!

Have a nice Carnival and a Happy Valentine

Friday 6th February

Hi class! How's it going? I hope you're fine enjoying this time of relax... I guess you haven't done your homework yet... anyway I hope you bring with you next class. I wonder why so few are doing your homework normally... And I also wonder why sometimes you behave so badly...

Well, last class we started a new lesson related to sport and Olympic Games. We learnt things about the origin through a documentary and you could answer  some questions  about the ancient and modern Olympics. Next day we will continue learning about this a bit more.

And please, remember to do your homework. You just have to choose a sport, look for some information (origin, rules, equipment...) and present your topic. Please, do it.

Also we will have time to talk about Mardi Gras or Carnival taking advantage of this celebration. We will know about the origin and the different traditions in different places, ok? I hope you enjoy.

To finish here you have your points:

  1. Player 1: 15
  2. Player 2: 19
  3. Player 3: 23
  4. Player 4: 15
  5. Player 5: 15
  6. Player 6: 16
That's all.

Be good, have fun, see you in class
