Friday 30th January

Hi class!! How are you? I guess enjoying a good time now that it's weekend and you can play games, watch tv, or listen to music.

Last class we finished this topic about tv, movies and music with some more voc related to tv and some listening and speaking activities about music. Your listening is improving, that  makes me happy; but your reading and speaking... please, make an effort because it seems sometimes that simply, you don't care about it! Let's try, please.

We used voc like this:

• Boring
• Interesting
• Awful
• Repetitive
• Factual
• Popular

when describing what you like watching on tv. Also we mention different kinds of music and how you feel when listening.

For next day I want you to write a postcard to your fvourite singer or band, just to let me know that you can express your feelings, ok? Of course, it won't be sent!

Next day we will star a new topic, I hope, related this time to sport and people related to it. I guess you can do your best taking into account that the only thing you seem to enjoy is football. Let's see if we can have a good time, ok?

Friday 23rd January

Hi class! How are you? I guess you're fine since we are starting the weekend, you will have time to do your homework and even to watch a film with your favourite actor (s),  won't you? Well, that's what I hope, because not everybody shows  me the homework every week.

Last class we continued with the topic about films, books and tv programmes. We were practising some questions and we completed a lot of listening activities. Also you practised everyday conversation topics using the voc we learned related to this topic (sitcom, news, talk show, sports...)

For next day we will finish this lesson having a look to adverbs of frequency and we will know about your favourite actors through your homework. I asked you to write a short biography about your favourite actor this way:

1. 1st paragraph: early years (place and date of birth/ death)
2. 2nd paragraph: Job, career (his/her beginning. Why he/she is famous or not)
3. 3rd paragraph: late years (last movies/achievements...)

As you didn't behave so horribly... we also listen to a song to finish the class. Probaby the best-known original soundtrack. Here you have

Friday 16th January

Hello class, how are you after the first long week of school? Well, I hope not too tired although you're in class untill 19'10... at least last class was very easy and you could speak about a lot of things.

We were doing listening and speaking activities related to movies, books, and tv programmes. Next day we will compare books and novels, you'll see that's easy and funny, too.

We mentioned the possibility of watching a film, but it will depend on your behaviour, as you can imagine... We'll see if we can, ok?

Remember to bring your HW this time, please. I don't want to listen to more stories about your homework, right? So for next Friday bring the worksheet I gave you.

Friday 9th January

Hello class!! First of all: Happy New Year, and welcome to the second term of our course. I hope you have enjoyed these weeks of holidays and you're ready to work a bit harder.

Last class we started a new topic about movies. I hope you like since it's something you know about a lot and it's easy for you to talk. We saw voc and you spoke about your favourite movies. Try to work with this voc as you need it in order to talk about films, actors and so on.

Remember to do your homework: you have to write about a movie you like and you have to mention:

• year
• director
• actors
• review

Please: be careful when copying.... I want you to use your own words, but do your best to get points.

And to finish I'd like you to know that last class you behaved much better than the previous weeks. I hope this can be this way till the end of the course.
